Since PCI Express is a backward compatible interface, your PCIe ver 1.0 board should be fine with the card. Of course, the card will only run at ver 1.0 bandwidth. But that won't be much of a performance hit, due to the fact that the GT 740 won't saturate the ver 1.0 bandwidth anyway.
