Network adapter for windows 8.1

So i recently made a desktop and now i need a network adapter.

It has to be an usb-adapter, and must work with windows 8.1.

so do you clever people have any recommendations?

This is a powerline kit, you plug one side in near your router, and the other side near your computer (must be plugged directly into outlet, no surge protector or power strip). This will have better real world performance then wifi, especially usb ones. It then plugs into your Ethernet port so no additional wifi drivers are required just the Ethernet driver for your motherboard.

Are you meaning a wired network adapter, or a wifi adapter?

Why does it have to be usb over pci-e adapter?

If looking for wifi adapter, have you considered a poweline network adapter? They have a faster real world speed over wifi when 2-3 walls away from the router and the ping/latency is much better then wifi which is what is truly the more important factor for gaming. You can get a tp-link av500 kit for around $30-35 which will be more reliable and better performing then wifi.

just a quick question so i plug the 1 one near my router and connects it to the router with an Ethernet cable?

and the other one i connect to my computer with a Ethernet cable?
