So today I bought a new mobo and I installed it and fitted in everything, I didn't have anything special so I was just touching the unpainted metal parts of my pc every now and then. I was changing motherboards because my old one is starting to get outdated ( Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P). I currently have:
Corsair CX750 PSU
ATi Radeon 7870 2GB
8GB RAM
AMD FX-4100 (Planning on getting maybe FX-9350 or higher soon)
1TB HDD

I have made sure everything is in the correct place and only had 6 bronze brackets to keep my new mobo in place (I only needed and have six from my old, smaller one). When I plug everything in there is a green light near the bottom of the mobo which turns on, aswell as a smaller green light on the front of my case too, but when I try to turn it on, nothing happens at all, I have tried quiet a few things in an attempt to make it start such as changing RAM slots but so far I have gotten no response apart from this green light.

Please could you help me sort out this issue, is there something I may have forgotten or stupidly overlooked when replacing motherboards?

green light usely means its on standby power and is normal you may have the switch hooked up wrong or it maybe defective ??? most times if theres a issue theres a red light near the corresponding hardware [vga -boot - memory - ] check your manual

as for that 9350 or any 220w chip your board shows it a 140w max.. so save your money on that up grade with this board

try to see if the switch is bad like as shown here by shorting the power on pins on the board

Update: I have tried to turn it on with the use of a screw driver and it worked, but now a new red light has come on, the DRAM_LED light under the MemOK! button, i've checked the manual and it means that the DIMM (RAM I think) is not installed properly so I need to turn off the PC and attempt to reinstall it, although the problem is that for some reason my monitor is saying 'No Signal'. I've tried multiple cables (DVI, HDMI to VGA and VGA) and it still wont connect. Meaning I can't see what my computer is doing, or be able to turn it off using the power button because it is not connected. What should I do about this? Is there a way to turn of the pc through the mobo or will I just have to unplug it?

you know I anit 100% sure on turning it off unless like the switch it just rebump and hold like you turned it on like when you hold the switch in and it will power off
or just switch off the psu [safest way I would think ]

heres what I would do to start clear cmso by removing the battery for like 5 sec. and this should set the bios back to default [check manual] wile your off remove all but one stick on memory be sure the memory in in its proper slot for one stick use [check manual]

I don't know what you use for a monitor so i'll guess you got a dvi to hdmi cable ?? hdmi to hdmi may not work [may need driver support ] vga may not work on a digital display cause its analog [unless your display supports analog signal ]

out side of that it should display at least the bios screen when you fire up and hit f8 [check manual] or tap del-key [tap-tap-tap-tap-] to enter bios [timing is everything on that if you don't hit the enter bios key just right you can miss entering it ]
