I need help.
I'm reusing my old HDD from my prebuilt with windows 7 premium installed on it and putting it on my future custom build PC with totally new hardware. I've heard there will be problems with drivers and the OS.
What specific steps should I take before removing my hdd to my new custome pc.

My prebuilt has a MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine) Motherboard and a a10 5700 apu
and I will be upgrading to a Asrock z97 pro4 with a intel i5-4690k.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Since you going from an OEM system to a DIY system you will need a new windows license. The current product key is associated with your MSI motherboard. Changing the motherboard will most likely require you to reactivate the Product Key at which point you will run into trouble.

Get a new OEM version and do a fresh install of OS and programs.

Even if you manage to switch the drive over to the new system and get it to boot, since your going from an AMD to an Intel chipset, there will lots of issues with the drivers.

Anyway to prevent driver issues? Like uninstalling the drivers before moving my HDD?
