G.Skill vs. Corsair RAM

I am getting parts together for my first gaming PC, I am choosing the memory right now. G.Skill and Corsair are the top rated memory brands on pcpartpicker.com I am looking for a 2x4GB DDR3-1600 set. G.Skill has a bunch of different series, Ripjaws, Sniper, Ares, and Trident, (sorry if I missed any) Corsair mainly just has Vengeance. Out of the two brands, G.Skill is the highest rated, but for the same speed and memory, it is about $10 more for a set of ripjaws than Corsair Vengeance. Is it worth spending the extra $10, or is there no benefit?

they will be about the same, just make sure the timings are 9-9-9-24

What CPU and mobo. If it's capable you can often get faster DRAM for the same price and at times even less. Also some are better on one platform than another

There are specials all the time. For example right now the high end Trident X DDR3-2400 is the same price as DDR3-1333 CL9

Mobo pretty much limits you to 1600, think I'd go the 1600/9 Snipers ($63 at the Egg), there's numerous others

I am getting the ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer and the Intel Core i5-4690k, will this RAM be good for that board?
