Hi, I am going to build a new Rig and I have picked out my components that I am thinking about purchasing. Please review and let me know what you think! I will add another 295x2 when they are much cheaper or maybe even the 395 x2( I have read they will work together in Crossfire).

Thanks!

I don't think you can manage a pair of radiators from a pair of R9-295X2 in that case.

Well I suppose one on the back and one up top. Would be a little strange, and it would limit the CPU cooler choices somewhat, or there might be length issues with the hoses.

I'm not seeing it.... lotta money being spent on things that bring no return and lesser price stuff will perform better.

-Case looks cool for a while but eventually, it's shortcomings reduce that initial "wow that's different" feeling. Coist is pushing you into sub quality choices further down.

-HD. See above. A 2 TB Seagate SSHD is same price

PSU - A quality 1050 watt unit would be a better choice with one, if 1350 - 1500 w/ 2 ... Two draw 1000+ watts on their own ... X99 CPU can hit 230 overclocked.

What resolution and what uses ?

I can't see investing $2k in an GFX cards that are about to be "last generation" in 6 weeks or so.

How you gonna cool all that ?

500 + 500 + 230 = 1230 watts of cooling .... with just 60% provided by rads, ya need about 738 watts.

With 120mm fans at 1250 rpm in push / pull ya need 10 x 120mm or (2) 360mm rads + (1) 480 + 20 fans
With 120mm fans at 1400 rpm in push / pull ya need 9 x 120mm or (3) 360mm rads + 18 fans
With 120mm fans at 1800 rpm in push / pull ya need 7 x 120mm or (1) 360mm rads + (1) 480 + 14 fans

I do lack expierence building, so i appreciate any and all help. What case would you recommend? I want to game in 4k, that is why i wanted the 295 x2 and then purchase another one later one. Will that power supply not handle 2 of these cards? I am going to purchase the i7 5820k. I want a great machine that will fame in 4k with excellent fps. Thanks again.

I think this build is good, but you should probably (If you are spending that much on system) Get a liquid cooler instead of an Air cooler for the CPU. Something like a Corsair H100i-H110.

EDIT: Maybe a larger case too, because if you are gonna have 2 295x2 that are also liquid cooled you are gonna need more room.

Why not 2 980s instead? Pretty much the same if not cheaper priced, also pretty even when it comes to performance.

Heres something with a little bit more room, also less money, because you are not paying for an extra 800w to power those monstrosities 295x2s.

Thanks for the recommendations. What case would you recommend? I really like the Thermaltake Level 10 GT. Also, the plan is to purchase 1 295 x2 initially and purchase another when I have the budget for it. Should be 4k proof for the future with 2 of them.

Thanks!

Again R9 295x2 Barely uses its second GPU, you can even look it up if you want, its been a recurring problem in them. I would recommend it if it didn't have that problem. Thats why he should go 2 980s.
