I think not, power draws and a heat will be different thus risking frying your motherboard, your battery, or you new GPU. just save up to get a new laptop.

I think it's possible but I wouldn't recommend it for the reasons that Robert gave, you should get a new laptop instead of trying to upgrade your current one.

The cons of compact gaming mobility is that it is very hard to modify, which is why i switched to a desktop 3 months ago. Depending on your level of knowledge of your laptop and its interior, its possible. Youll have to find measurements and if the newer gpu is compatible with the slots inside your pc. I know a switch to a 8800M card will work. Theres plenty of dell xps 8800m sli gpus for cheap that you can swap to. But thats asfar as i know for your laptop. goodluck
