Hey guys.. there's videos online of people running GTA 5 smoothly with my processor, a g3258. Overclockable dual core. And a 750 ti. My cpu is at 4.4 ghz and I have a radeon hd 7950 3gb vram. Much stronger then a 750 ti. And the gpu is even overclocked.. I stutter and the map loads in most of the time when im driving.. lowering my settings didnt really help.. is anyone else getting stuttering? Is it AMDs fault? I just don't get why my game stutters ... my cpu is at 100% usage but the people online with my cpu are running it so smoothly..

What resolution are you running it at vs them and as well, do you have the latest AMD beta drivers?

While I don't have a dual core (i5 4670K) I have a HD7970GHz and short of MSAA I have it maxed out on that with a HD7970.

The dual core will bottleneck the GPU slightly but not enough to completely kill performance. As well, how much RAM do you have in your system? The game needs 4GB minimum.

5 gigs of ram.. and i had to bump the res down to 800 by 600.. which looks GOD AWFUL :( . i had it on something by 720 which looked decent.. but i kept getting stuttering...

And i think i have the latest AMD drivers.. it's on their website and it says i'm up to date on the automatic detection thing.

Hmm. Another question, how can i be up-to-date with these updates for AMD/GTA? I'd like for it to be even more smoothe/optimized

If you have GTA V on Steam it should auto update.

The best way for AMD drivers is to check the drivers page once a week. Or you can install Raptr, the AMD gaming app, and it will notify you when new drivers are available.
