Coming this summer I plan on building a new desktop for my home use. It'll be used for homework, low key gaming (LoL, minecraft, Starcraft, Arma), streaming and useless internet browsing. I'm still fairly new to everything when it comes to computers, (this is my first build from scratch), and I would like some insight.
One requirement is that I want four monitors, but I would like them to work independently. Eyefinity is definitely cool but not what I plan on doing. I want all four monitors to be able to open a different page at the same time and move from one to the other. A perfect example of what I want and how I plan on setting up my monitors is this:

One landscape on top of another with one portrait monitor on each side.

The only problem I have is that I don't know exactly what video card(s) will be capable of doing this and with what motherboard I should use them with. Currently I have everything picked out to what I think would work, but I again that's why I'm here.

The motherboard I have picked out is MSI Z97:

I'm fairly confident that it is compatible with 4 monitors and I've researched that it's a nice motherboard, so why not.

The single graphics card I have to support all 4 monitors is the MSI GTX 960:

It has 3 display ports and 1 HDMI, (what I would use) and if my research is correct, it works with the MSI Z97.

Another thing I want to know is whether or not there is a better setup for the sub $400 range. I've heard it can be better and cheaper to have two video cards with two display ports rather than one with four. If you guys know of a better combination, please let me know.

In addition to these, I plan on fitting it all in the Thermaltake Level 10 computer case:

All in all, my main concern is whether or not these two will work work together to give me the four displays that I want (URL from digital tigers) and if not, please let me know.

If it helps to know, I'll have 32GB RAM (4x8GB) and an Intel i7 processor.

Thank you for your insight and opinions.

You can use plug the monitors in and put them on "extend" mode (I think thats the name) and they will work separately and you can use them for different pages.
You could get 2 cards with only 2 outputs on but you would have to have them in non sli mode, then when you try and play arma or any gpu intensive game you'll struggle. I'd get the GTX 960 personally.
