Accidentally Installed Windows 8.1 32-bit Instead of 64-bit

A few months ago, I bought a windows 8.1 key off of G2A. I installed it on my then new computer. I don't remember being prompted to select 32 or 64 bit during installation. Then, last night, I received the two 8GB ram sticks I'd ordered, only to realize I am running on 32-bit OS. Also, in addition to that, I bought the Killing Floor 2 early access, which only supports 64-bit systems.

So, TLDR; I messed up. Is there any way I can go from 32-bit to 64-bit without having bought the copy from Microsoft itself?

Thanks in advance,
Dan.

It said 32-bit/64-bit, but when I bought it, it didn't prompt me to decide either, so I kind of assumed that I'd decide upon installation, but I never did.

When you recieved your key, where did you enter it?

I entered it when it prompted me to, after I checked for compatibility.

What I mean is, where did you install windows 8.1 from? Did you download the ISO from microsoft using your code?

What I meant was G2A gave me the code, which I used with windows 7's compatibility checker for windows 8. After it said my computer was compatible, it prompted me to enter the code I was given. It worked, and it started the installation process.

Was your Windows 7 32bit? If it was it probably assumed you wanted 32bit for Windows 8.1.
Did it format and install Windows 8.1 or did it "upgrade"?

Yeah, my Windows 7 was 32-bit, which was part of the reason I wanted to get 8.1, for both the upgrade from 7 to 8.1 as well as the upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit.

And I'm pretty sure it formatted.

You may be best off getting the ISO from microsoft using your code to make a bootable CD/USB and install from that.

If I don't have the key anymore, would G2A send it to me again?

You'd have to ask them, it may be in your recent transactions or something when you log in.
