Hey all, I've been looking around for a pair of inexpensive earphones. I'm looking for something that sounds good, but isn't going to break a bank. I'd like it to sound good whether I'm gaming on my computer, or rocking out to some metal on my phone. Here's the thing though, I don't want earphones with the foam poofy things that you shove in your ear to keep it in place, I'd like something old school. Just regular plastic speakers. To me they feel much more comfortable, and just feel better to me.

I've been looking at the latest Apple Earpods, but I understand that there is probably better out there. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the help!

Welcome mate; I don't like those either.

What you refer as having the foam poofy stuff should be technically known as an in-ear intra-aural set; you're looking for the common ones. The Apple Earbuds are a way between the two types tho, as in they're not fully in-ear but not fully common either.

I'm not really knowledgeable in this field, but I can vouch for what I have.
I currently own a pair of Sennheiser MX365, bought for about 20/25€ (can't recall the exact price ATM, Amazon reports 15€ as the average price). Strictly earphones, as in there's no mic, so if you plan on gaming and talking to friends or just talking on the phone, get some time to actually consider if they're for you or not. As far as sound quality goes, however...

As far as sound quality goes, however, they're pretty much nice for the price, and they don't fail to meet the expectations coming from the known brand.
