Hello, i'm having a wierd issue with my newly bought i7 4790k. It runs at 25-35c on idle. But when i throw any kind of preasure at it ramps up like crazy, let's say i wanna play some assassins creed unity. it runs at about 80c after 10 minutes of gaming. I'm running 4.5ghz on 1.170v. Also i've tried all different kinds of things, i tried 4 ghz on 1.2v and it does the same thing. The wierdest thing of all is that when i start prime 95 it instantly pops up to 100c and then throttlel back to like 3,6ghz.

Specs:
i7 4790k cooled with an corsair h80i
asus maximus 7 ranger
corsair vengance 2400mhz ram
2 gtx 780 ti's in sli
128 gb ssd and 2 500gb for storage
1000w gold + powersupply

Please help with with this so i can enjoy gaming again.

PS: I'm thinking there's some wierd voltage that's way to high but i can't seem to find anything. Since it's running cool at idle that is.

I forgot to mention i'm running an h80i sorry about that. I have updated the bios to the latest and i have checked to make sure the h80i is seated correctly and i've done so 3 times. Anything else you can think of?

This issue seems to only occur under load, since it's running at around 30c at idle. It's so wierd, im thinking there's some voltage that goes way to high when the cpu is under load for some reason. Can anyone think of anything that could do this?

All my cpu temps go up to 100c and then the speed throttles down to 3,6ghz but the temp is still around 90-99c. I tried with my old 4770k to rule out the i7 4790k and it's the same thing with it, it's just that the temps during gaming is WAY lower, i only get 65c max after 20 minutes of unity gameplay and that's with a 4,2ghz overclock at 1.3v ._.
