Well I wiped my HDD and re-installed Win 7 64bit so I could migrate the OS to my new Samsung SSD 850 EVO (120GB) but when I went to use the Samsung data migration software it says that it doesn't have enough space to migrate all the files. With a clean wiped HDD I still have 123 GB left on the hard drive and Win 7 64bit takes up only 20GB (if I am correct) So, my question is where is the other 100GB coming from and how do I delete that data so I can migrate Win 7 on to the SSD (and yes i have deleted Windows.old)

Solution
just check whether the system restore is taking the other 100 gb.

Hey there, thesoulessgamerr!

Why don't you just unplug the HDD and leave only the SSD plugged and perform a fresh install of Windows on it straight away. This is the recommended thing to do when installing new storage hardware and since you have the Windows installation media, I don't think you should be dealing with migration/cloning tools at all.
Just remember to unplug the HDD before starting the installation process. If you have another storage drive plugged in while the performing the clean install, you might encounter an OS confusion which might result in boot issues later on.

Let me know how it goes! :)
