I have connected a Samsung TV to my Toshiba laptop via HDMI and keep expiriencing if I don't move the mouse in 5 minutes that the screen goes to sleep and immediatelly wakes up at logon screen by itself without me touching anything. It is very annoying if watching movies, playing games or doing anything that doesn't include mouse or keyboard. Control panel power options are all set to high performance and "never" for each battery or plug sleep modes. Any ideas?

At first I thought your TV was going to sleep but then you said you're at the Login prompt... so that means the command is coming from your computer. Try checking your power settings again. On mine at the advanced settings, I have Sleep After: NEVER... and Hibernate After: NEVER.
There could be another program installed on your computer that's set to auto logoff after 5 min. Is there anything installed that might do that? What is your screensaver set too? I see you are using a laptop. Here is an important question: Does it auto shutoff when it's plugged in or only when the laptop is NOT plugged in... or both?
