This last month i ran into a problem where my graphics card is heating up to 70 degrees when i activate usb tethering from my Samsung Galaxy S3 (running cm11 nightly + root). i've tried to update the gpu drivers but i already run the latest drivers. 2 months ago it all worked fine and the gpu didn't heat up, it was around 20 degrees but this happened to me last month.

Is there something wrong or should i buy a wifi usb adapter or wifi network card, i don't really want to buy a new gpu right now when i'm low on cash so ... hopefully someone can help me fix this.

Solution
1.1v is the stock voltage for a 550 ti so that isn't causing the increase in temperature. I would reinstall your gpu driver and usb drivers see if that fixes the problem.
