So I had a quick question about antistatic bag use. I am transferring things to a closet and I don't have anything to put my components on while they are on the shelf and I was wondering if I could just cut a side or two of an antistatic bag where the inside is facing up and I can set my components on that. Would that be okay? I want to do this so I can have easy access to some of my RAM hard drives and video cards.

Edit: The shelves are made of wood

Solution
Your components will be safe if you have them in or one the antistatic bag, I personally have a 440 GT sitting in some bubble wrap and it still works.
