i'm looking for a new motherboard and processor

i have an
asus f2a85 v pro, and amd apu 5800k fm2, 8gb corsair vengeance RAM, windows 8.1, and my grapics card is a radeon r7 260x 2gb i want to upgrade my motherboard and processor but i have heard that intel is better then amd so i was wondering is their any way i can switch to intel? if thats possible any mother bored or processor suggestions?

Yes, intel is significantly faster than AMD. If you are willing to overclock, the 4690K and Z97 motherboard is the current best bang for the buck. Depending on your budget, the 4790K and Z97 is the next step up, and from there its 5820K and X99 chipset.

What is your price range?

You could buy the i5 4690k and Z97 Asus Maximus VII Hero / Ranger or Asrock Fatal1ty Killer Z97 which is a lot cheaper than 200$

Having a faster overclocked processor such as the i5 4690K is much better than buying a slower processor and more expensive motherboard.

PCIe is backwards compatible with any PCI card. In other words yes, it will work fine.
