Should i get Dual GPU Or a better single card

I would like to upgrade my graphics to run GTA V better, i was wondering if i should upgrade my current card or get a new motherboard with two GPU slots and buy a second graphics card, if so do i buy the same one or does it not matter.
Specs:
GPU: HD7770-DC-1GD5
Motherboard: B75MA-P45
OS: Windows 8

budget around under £400 total

to run gta at anything above minimum regardless of the power of your card you will need 2gigs of vram minimum.
the 7770 will run it at 1080p but you will get warnings of running low on gpu memory.
in this case it would be better to get a much stronger gpu with 2gigs+ of vram

Get maybe a R7-260x 2GB card for your upgrade, or even a GTX 750ti if you can afford these cards. These will help in terms of performance in GTA V.

Hexit is right, you need a better single card. A 280x (and a psu upgrade if necessary) will work well for you.
