So, i was looking to buy some cheap ram sticks on ebay and i noticed that a lot of them say that they are for AMD motherboards only. Example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8GB-4x2GB-DDR2-800MHz-PC2-640...

I was wondering if this is true, does it mean that those ram sticks don't work on mobos with intel chipsets?

Solution
There were a lot of "high density" ram chips back in the ddr2 days that had a very short compatibility list.
I don't remember anymore what the deal was with it but If you are truly interested you can google it.

For ddr2 memory you will need to stick with namebrand memory. gskill, corsair, Kingston, crucial, back then adata was good too.
