I know that my Raspberry Pi has Radio broadcasting capabilities. And knowing how data is basically a series of 1's and 0's like "110010010101001110100101" (Not actual data) I was just wondering if it would be possible to broadcast those numbers over radio waves and basically send a file over radio. (Or something of the sorts) There would also have to be a receiving device obviously so Is it possible?

Bluetooth? WiFi? Cellular? all technically "Radio" data. HAM guys still use such capabilities for simple digital CX communications. (Still translated back into dots and dashs by computers)

Back in the day you could get short range wireless modems, struggling to remember the band, probably been re purposed by the FCC in the US by now. But with the advent of the cellular network, they kind of became useless. Easy enough to just have a wifi hotspot and a cellular connection to get wireless capabilities.

If you mean like on the FM bands for short wave stuff, I'm sure it is possible, but I doubt anyone has bothered to write the capability.

I didn't want to sound too snarky posting something like the first line above, but yes this is re-inventing the wheel. If you want to program something to decode ones and zeros over FM radio yourself it can certainly be done, though it would take advanced knowledge a bit over my head and which would be difficult to convey here anyway.

One question. Why would you want to do that?
1) I just want to mess with electronics
2) i want to be able to answer the question if it is possible to use radio waves for Internet.
3) I'm a bit paranoid and want to use my own technology to do wireless Internet

Answers
1) go wild. There are quite a few standards on transmitting digital data over analog media the latest V.92. Look at those before reinventing the wheel.
2) it's already there and called wireless broadband or G4+ or LTE or 802.11
3) I'm with you here. Wouldn't it be nice to have a FidoNet like network around the globe that the NSA wouldn't be able to monitor. But that would need quite an effort and community.
