Hi,
I have a new Zotac ZBox Nano. I purchased a new 240g SS HDD for it and 8 gigs of ram. I'm not new at setting up or building computers, but this has me stumped and yet I'm sure it's a dumb question, but after installing the hard drive and Ram and connecting a usb CD drive to install Windows to the unit all I can ever get is a "Shell" command prompt. I even went to the trouble of installing the new hard drive into another laptop and installing Windows on it and selected the Sata drive as the first boot option in the bios, but I still get the shell command and if I hit escape within 3 seconds as it gives the option to I still get the same shell command.
What am I missing or doing wrong? This is driving me nuts! I've never had this issue before and see nothing in the installation manual about it..... I just can't seem to get beyond this screen. I've about given up on this and yet it seems like it must be something really simple that I'm missing. The bios recognizes all of my drives....external DVD drive, the ram and the hard drive and the HDMI display is working correctly.
What do I need to do to get this unit to boot to either the CD or the hard drive and get past this shell command?
Help!
Thanks in advance and forgive me if this is a really stupid question, but I've all but given up on this and can't find anything in my internet searches about it.
Please excuse my posting this in the wrong forum section..... I am installing Win 7 on the unit, but don't want to double post now. I think the answer would e the same though.

Hi.
Never mind..... After all the fighting and efforts I finally clicked on Legacy mode in the bios and it instantly booted up.... I've never had to deal with a purely EFI based unit even though I think my Asus Maximus might be one, but I didn't have the issues with it.
This one seems fine now though... Frustrating, but sorry to take up your time!

Hi,
Yes.... easily....and after playing around for half the day finally selected Legacy Win 7 instead of EFI Win 7... That's all it took! I haven't dealt with it yet and it was just stumping me..... All is well now... Thank you!
