I am changing my 1tb hdd into a new computer, and all the parts are different, so I'm going from Intel cpu, Radeon gpu, different motherboard and different psu. Do I need to wipe my hdd to transfers the 1tb over to the new setup

Just one question...
Is that 1 TB HDD that you want to transfer over to the new PC going to serve as the boot drive in that system? You plan to install the OS onto that disk? Or are you simply planning to utilize that HDD as a secondary drive for storage/backup purposes?

If the HDD is to serve as your new boot drive you've already received correct responses to your query.

I just upgraded my computer from an A10-5800k to a i5-4460 without losing any data. I just had to install new drivers and the only problem I have encountered is that windows message center says I have no chipset drivers.
