I have an ad fx 8350 clocked at 4.8, while editing I can run at just over 5 ghz. Full custom water cooling. I also have a gtx 780.

For mainly video editing and some cad work, would getting one of Intel new i7 six core processors or getting a titan x give me the better performance increase. I'm trying to stay under $1500.

Storage, case, psu, ect are all more than capable, and biggest bottlenecks are the cpu and gpu.

Either graphics card, and then water block.

Or Intel chipset and motherboard.

I apologize that I had originally stated intel 6 core, that was supposed to say intel 8 core. Very stuck on cpu/motherboard if I do go that route. Graphics card I wanted by Evga, but at moment not available on amazon. Ive got over a thousand $$ stuck into water cooling so don't need a cooler (280mm rad top, 360mm top, 140mm back, d5 vario pump 180mm photon res, cpu/gpu/gpu blocks thrown in mix, as well as flow and temp sensors as well)
