Hi all! I recently purchased the Lenovo K450e and installed 32 GB (4x8GB dimms) of Crucial Ballistix Tactical 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model BLT8G3D1608DT1TX0. The machine booted right up and showed 32GB but when I went through the bios, and I am seeing 1333MHz instead of 1600 for the memory bus speed. Does anyone know how I can change the speed to 1600MHz? I have been looking through the forum, and I can't find an XMP setting anywhere.

Here are my computer specs:

Solution
It is all done in BIOS. In your memory settings, you should see "XMP profile" or similar text, with the ability to switch to "Profile 1" or similar. Then save and reboot.

If this option isn't available, just manually alter the settings - RAM multiplier should be set to manual and x16, and then the other settings for RAM should also be checked and/or set as follows (as per RAM specs: CL 8, tRCD 8, tRP 8, tRAS 24, voltage should be set to 1.5V).
