Will a Seasonic x series 850w PSU enough for 290x crossfire?

Was just wondering if anyone has tried running r9 290x in crossfire with an 850w PSU? If so how did it go?
I have a Seasonic x series 850w PSU and am wanting to get a second GPU for crossfire. CPU is fx-8350 and also have a corsair h80i cooler, SSD(no HD) and a couple of case fans...

Will my PSU handle a second 290x??

No. You will need atleast a 1000psu for those. Especially with an 8350. 290x in CF take up more than 700~ watts. 200~ for system, would be 900 watts.


Explanation. The 290x has power spikes that reach about 325ish, so 325x2 = 650 give or take with 200~ for system 850 right there. 900~ give or take
