Hi everyone,

So I have finally built my new PC together and I am experiencing random freeze every now and then occuring very randomly, I updated all my drivers with Driver Genius, but the problem keeps presisting.

I have a friend who's an IT Expert and he says it might due to Memory Modules as they are not certified with the Mobo. What do you think?

Here are the specs of my Rig:
I7-4770K
Asus Maximus VI Formula
Kingston Beast 2400Mh (set to 1600)
EVGA GTX 980 SLI
Cooler Master V1000 PSU

Thank you very much in advance for the help!

It's probably the memory. Mixing two different brands of RAM can easily cause the problems you describe. Remove one stick of RAM and see what happens. If the problems go away, then you know it's that module. If not, try the other module.

Well when I search for Asus Maximus VI Formula the Kingston HyperX Beast 2400 MHz does'nt appear on the list.

I'm surprised I cannot make a search the other way around, a list of Motherboards compatible with this Memory.

Does that mean I would need to change the RAM? Or maybe one of the two modules is simply damaged?

If the memory is not shown on Kingston memory compatibility list, that suggests it may not be compatible. However, all memory may not have been tested with this motherboard, so the memory of interest may be compatible anyway. Given the result that the system basically runs suggests the memory is (somewhat) compatible.

Clear CMOS. Load BIOS defaults.

Try one DIMM at a time, and in different slots. That will help determine if the memory and/or slots may be faulty.
