I was wondering what is the best graphics card i can get that will not overheat my system [Im willing to buy a new psu] and maximize my cpu and gpu in games like battlefield 3,4 or maybe even games with high expectations. Anyone? Also if you post a answer please include links to where i may be-able to find these gpu cards. I was thinking about getting like a high end $300-200 gpu then like a 700 watt psu but im not sure what the best 2.0 pci express slotted psu and gpu's are out their

Performance difference between PCIe 2 and 3 has been shown to be minimal. So that's a non issue right now.

Problem is you have an FX 8 core on a 760g motherboard with DDR 1600 RAM.

As long as the RAM is low latency, 7 or 8, performance will be fine for gaming.

But to get the most out fo the 8320 you'll need to OC, with good cooling and a good VRM on the motherboard. 8+2 phase power if at all possible. Three boards I can recommend are:

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P
MSI 970 Gaming
ASRock 970 Performance

These will be able to provide the clean power needed to OC the 8320.

Put a good cooler on it, like the Noctua NH-D14, D15 or a Phanteks TC14PE. You should be able to do 4.3-4.5GHz without too much difficulty.

A motherboard supporting PCIe version 3, an intel CPU, and faster ram will all help frame rate but the graphics card is by far most important.

I think what you have is a fairly good machine, but also not the best. It doesnt support PCIx version 4 for example and i'd question if any kind of partial upgrade is worth it right now.

1.If you want to upgrade there are 3 ways to go. You could blow all the money on something like a GTX9xx and an upgraded PSU, and probably get a signifficant increase but still be boddlenecked by the rest of your system.

2. You could upgrade to a newer intel board and chip with the fastest ram it can take. It will probably not give that big a boost but will give you a better platform to get the most out of any nvidia graphics card, current or future.

3. you can make do with what you have for now and keep saving till you can afford to replace everything in one go.
