Hey everyone. I recently decided to pep up my gaming rig with some new components. I upgraded my video card from a GTX 550ti (no onboard sound) to a GTX 660 (onboard sound). As soon as everything was installed I started having some serious audio problems. I have an MSI 870 G-45 motherboard (onboard sound). I started getting some thumping noises through my headphones (analog) when the mic is plugged in. The audio for the pc works, but is less loud and more muted. I've dried right clicking on the audio icon, and setting default devices/disabling the others. I've also tried disable the NVIDIA audio drivers, to no avail. I've also tried updating drivers for the motherboard. Nothing seems to work. Anyone else have experience with audio problems from installing a newer graphics card? Suggestions?
