Hi

I am having problems with my PC currently.
People have suggested that I try updating my BIOS.
I have read up on updating one's BIOS and am extremely scared because it can malfunction and ruin your entire computer.
Is this likely to happen? and how can I do it safely?

I very much appreciate any helpful replies

Yes, it might.

You only update the BIOS if doing that will fix your specific issue.
And you do it by the manufacturers instructions exactly. No deviations.

What problems, and what leads you to believe a BIOS update would fix that?

Basically my GPU driver keeps crashing.
I have tried ALL THE possible fixes.
And have made thread upon thread upon thread about this issue.
Many people have told me that it's eitther my PSU (not serving enough power or faulty) or motherboard is faulty or needs updating

a buzzing sound comes from my PC speakers when it happens and forces my to restart (using button on my case)

also when i put core and memory speed using afterburner to -400 it stops the issue temporarily but then happens again. later on

None of which indicates a BIOS update.
