I saw that a post like this was posted but i think his issue is a bit different from mine so i am making a new one.

My motherboard supports up to 1600 ram, 32 gigs size.

I currently have 4 4 gig sticks at 1600 (2 of them are different, but they are in the same channel each, so i got 2 groups of 2 that are the same). I want to buy 2 sticks of 8 gigs and stick them into lets say channel 1, while having 2 sticks of 4 gigs in channel 2.

Aside from the maker they are pretty much identical, except the 8 gigs have a higher max ram speed than the 4 gigs but since the Mobo is stuck at 1600 max (iirc) then it shouldn't matter (the 8 gigs do support 1600 naturally).

Will this slow down my computer? Or will i just not get any benefit of speed (im hitting 16 gigs useage quite often as of late, but dont feel like dropping 200 in ram right away to go straight to 32 gigs).

I can post what i got and a basic link to the ram in question and the mobo i currently have if needed.
