Hello folks.

It has been quite a journy, building a computer on my own.
It all started two weeks ago, when i decided to upgrade my graphic card.
I bought a Radeon R7 x260 got home and installed it but it didn't display anything on the screen, so i googled for two days and found out that my motherboard only supports up to PCI 2.0, and the graphic card needs PCI 3.0, so i when out and bought a Asus B85M-G got home and installed the new motherboard but then ofc, the processor didn't fit, so the next day i whenout and bought a new Haswell Processor Intel Celeron G1840 CPU cooler was included. I still had my old win7 installed on my harddrive due to the fact that i thought this was gonna be a simple task, plug n' play as i call it. it really wasn't. i kept getting BSOD and USB overcurrent. took me about a week to figure out that i had to reinstall win7. Finally i got everything working and running, spend about 1 day updating drivers and so on.

Another problem arrived. Whenever i opened a game, either the computer or game crashed.
The games im playing is typically, Black Ops 2, Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 4.
Whenever i runned Black ops or Modern Warfare it crashed my computer with BSOD error code 0x00000116
I spend a few days reading about this and figured it might be a problem due to my PSU only capable of giving MAX 460 Watt. so today i just bought a brand new Corsair CX750M ATX Power Supply its now installed but the problem seems to persist. i managed to get rid of the BSOD by uninstalling AMD Gaming

Im still left with the crash issue. although sometimes i actually get to play a game but it tents to freeze randomly when most activity is happening doing the gameplay.

I've been reading A LOT on those known issues and all seems to have their special opinion on how to solve this. It has come to my attention that it sure is a known problem for ASUS with the graphic card overheating.

Havn't been able to find a solution for the overheating problem. Many have been saying that it's due to dust, but i doubt that since its all brand new ( and yes i did check to be save )
One thing that has caught my eye, is that when a game either crashes or freezes, i get a notification telling me that my amd driver stopped responding and has recovered. Did my research on it and tried a couple of things, such as reinstalling graphic driver and some stuff in the registry.

Just wanna point out that the graphic card is bought private, so no guarantee.

I've runned a test of my build to see the temperature when i go from desktop to in-game
Here are all the data i got when running the test

My New Computer Specs:

Monitor: HP 23xi IPS LEd Backlit Monitor
Motherboard: B85M-G
Power Supply: Corsair CX750M
Processor: Intel Celeron G1840
Graphic Card: Gigabyte Radeon R7 x260 oc 2gb
Ram: 8GB

Thanks for reading my novel, hope you can help me.

Best regards
- Christian

Quite the saga.

At this point, it seems that the only component that is not brand new is the GPU. I would pull it, and run the rig on the integrated graphics, and see if the issue gets better.

Some other thoughts:

- Thermal compound for the CPU?
- Bios upgrade for the MB.

The GPU is new aswell.

The harddrive is the only thing that i kept from the old computer components.

I've sent my computer to some Computer expert. Going to pick it up on tuesday, i'll write back then if they managed to fix the issue or not.

True, the previous owner wasn't able to use the graphic card due to his motherboard only supporting PCI 2.0, the graphic card needs PCI 3.0.
He proved that the graphic card was less than 1 month old, he didn't want to return it because it was to much of a hastle to return it halfway across the world just to get a new one / refund.

As promised, i got my PC back today.
I've been testing the computer for a few hours, and it seems to be working now with the exact same specs.
The computer guy, couln't really tell the issue and couldn't guarantee if its working but they tested it for some hours aswell and they did also do a total system restore once again, even though i told them, i had tried that.

For some reason the issue is still unknown.
I do believe i found 2 major fixes anyways.

1) AMD Gaming Envolved (http://raptr.com/amd) has a build'in replay function which caused BSOD on my computer. I disabled it and i've never seen the blue screen again.
2) I've always used My HP Display (http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-23-inch-Displays/7274717/model/5304241#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1) i installed it after i got the PC back but noticed my PC gave me the black screen / crash again. Uninstalled it and now every game is working perfectly.

If you guys have any idea to share about this unknown issue, please share.
It's still unknown to me if those programs i noticed caused some trouble actually was the main reason.
I didn't test it befor it went to the computer expert.

They did confirm that my graphic card wasn't overheating.
Also they confirmed that i was missing some AT-blabla drivers. Didn't understand that part.

These extra software packages can cause these issues. I agree with the disabling of the AMD Gaming Evolved and the My HP Display. Not sure we will ever know which of these is the culprit, or if it is the simultaneous combo of the two of them.

Thanks for the followup!

You welcome.

After many hours of testing in different games, i can now confirm that the issue seems to still persist, only this time it doesn't crash the game, it just gives a black screen and some lag for about 1min.

At this point, im starting to think that it maybe could be the HDMI input on the graphic card that has some sort of issue.
Its been testet with another HDMI also DVI, same thing.
