How many years does it take for Microsoft to stop providing updates for Windows 7?

As we know Microsoft has Stopped further Updates for Windows XP.
Yes Windows 7 will be next in theri list some day in the future.
But How long it will take?

So far based on the technical previews that I've run on Oracle Virtual Box I'd say Microsoft has a winner with Windows 10. I'm skipping 8/8.1 and going directly to Win10.
