I got a problem with my pc freezing once in a while.
Sometimes it's also only my game which is freezing (Diablo III)
It seems like if i turn all the fans to max, it runs more stable, this is weird to me, since the hottest component is the GPU, which is running at about 70-75C full load!

Asus sabertooth 990fx R2.0
AMD FX-9590
Crucial Ballistix tactical 16GB
Samsung EVO 850 256GB
Cooler Master V1000
GeForce 9800 GTX
Windows 7

There is no overclock on anything.

Anyone got any clue to why this is happening?

could be from throttling also your card is outdated unless you meant the GTX 980 make sure your 9590 doesn't go over 70 and monitor your gpu and turn up the fans or create a custom profile to see if you can get it to run cooler

Nope it's the 9800, i know it's really old, i was planning to get the new AMD series, but i seriously can't live with this GPU annyonre, so going for the 980 next week.
On my 9590 i got a H100I, which makes is run about 30-35C, and as i mentioned, the fans are turned at full speed, but it still freeze sometimes.

I've had similar situations with GPUs from: unstable CPU or GPU overclock, badly seated RAM, bad GPU drivers.

As mentiones first, i got no overclock on the hardware. the ram is seated correctly, and the GPU drivers are fully updated.

Updated drivers can definitely be in the 'bad driver' category.
