There a re a lot of games which will require a 64-bit setup. Don't know what your budget is but heres a setup. Changing one part might not be a option here.

LOW /MID BUDGET :

CPU - AMD FX 8350 / Intel i5 4690 (K if you overclock)
Mother board: 990fx series for AMD / H97 or Z97(newer) for the Intel
If you have a DDR2 RAM then you'll need 4 to 8 GB DDR3 (If you already use DDR3 then just add to it)
Windows 7/8 64-bit
GPU --> GTX 960 2GB / AMD 270x (AMD 280x if fits in budget)
PSU: IF Both CPU and GPU are AMD then 750 W else 550 to 650W
IF Both Intel then 500W would be more than enough

HIGH END:

CPU - Intel i7 4790k
Mother board: Z97 for the Intel (MSI Guard Pro is good and inexpensive)
8 GB DDR3 (Preferably at 1866 Mhz)
Windows 7/8 64-bit
GPU --> GTX 970 / GTX 980 / AMD 290x
PSU: 650 W for Intel+AMD, Else 550W enough for Intel+Nvidia

Hope This help is choosing the best.

P.S. SSD improves system boot and shut down times and the general OD Response. It is not necessary and is waste of money for home use. (Plus expensive, so if someone suggests, you can always buy that Later)

The min sys requirements for prototype 2 are as follows CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6GHz, AMD Phenom X3 8750 RAM:2 GB GPU:NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT with 512 MB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4850 with 512 MB RAM DX: 9.0C or later OS:Windows® XP / Vista / 7 HDD:10 GB
Sound:Any DirectX 9 compatible Sound Card. Keep in mind these are the min specs meaning it will play the game on the lowest possible settings
If your radeon is a PCI Express 1 or 16 then I would replace everything around it If on a budget you can buy the ASUS H81M-e motherboard with your choice of processor but an INtel Icore 5 3.3 ghz will work then you can add either 2 4gb ram or 2 8 gb ram sticks and you will be set to go and you can easily upgrade the video card at a later date and this board is cheap enough you can play around with overclocking it , if you attempt overclocking you should get advanced cooling so that you don;t like kill it right away but this board is a good starter for people who want to learn to overclock.
To be honest I don;t see why you can't play prototype 2 right now with the hardware you have, but you would really need to expand on the hardware I am only going with the limited knowledge you supplied.
