Hi,
I recently built a new gaming PC with the following specs:
CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU: MSI R9 270X Gaming 2GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB
MB: MSI Global 970A-G43
Storage: Transcend 256GB SSD
PSU: Corsair CS650M (650W)
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
Sometimes I get random crashes where the PC is unresponsive (except to a complete restart) and evenly spaced vertical lines appear on the screen, each time with another colour.
I've read that this could be caused by either an overheating or faulty GPU. I've used AMD OverDrive to monitor my temperatures while gaming and have found the GPU temperature is usually below 60 degrees Celsius.
Could this be fixed by adding additional cooling to my PC? Or should I completely replace the GPU? What do you think?
