I have 8GB DDR3 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 7770
AMD quad core 3,6 ghz

My resolution in GTA5 is 800*600 and everything is set on lowest possible and graphics are horrable. I cant change anything because it doesnt let me, cuz as soon as I want to change something, it greatly increases over video memory limit. Now, Ive played Crysis 3 on almost maximum settings, and the graphics was amazing. Here, its like im playing San Andreas again on 800*600. Its frustrating. Is there a way to add some command line or something like that to ignore this cap on video memory limit? Because I just cant play like this. And dont tell me to buy new computer, cuz ive played Crysis, Crysis 2 on Ultra settings, Crysis 3 almost on Ultra, Im playing at the moment Dying Light, almost all settings are on maximum, Far Cry 4 Im playing on Ultra settings, and Arma 3 all on maximum settings available.

Sorry but you cant remove the limit, but you can go over the limit, the only problem is that it will start taking RAM from your RAM cards on the MoBo which might make it stuttering.

Yes, I have the 1GB version. But can I remove video memory limit? Because Ive paid 60 euros for this game and there is no way I can play this in 800*600 resolution with all settings on minimum. I mean, what the hell, do you even see how ridicilous this sounds?

Sadly you need a Beastly PC or a PC that is ok in graphics and also in its Processor. I currently play on everything on the highest except the texture quality at 1920x1080. But that is because i have an Alienware and this thing is a beast with 2x GTX 675M, 16GB Ram and i7, If you want it on higher reselution, right click on your battery indicator/power indicator on your taskbar. Power options and then say high performance. im not sure if this works on desktop but you can try. and then just make sure that you are using your GPU and not your CPU to run the game, i did and that put me on 2000MB video memory, now its up to 4000MB. Hope this helps

I know I'm a little late to the game with a reply. I am using a haswell i5 with a 7770 1gb card. I am able to run at 1920x1080 with all details turned down with it just barely breaking the 1gb limit cap. I unchecked the box and the game runs fine. I haven't even experienced a stuttering issue yet.

With that said though, I am now looking for a card with 4gb of RAM so that I can turn more of the details on.
