Win 7 (x64) detects 8 but says only 4 are usable. CPUZ also detects the two sticks.
Ram are G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 8GB 2x4GB CL7
CPU is amd x4 635
Bios is updated. Only detects half of the RAM installed.
I've tried msconfig and memory remap but didn't work.
Both sticks work well.
I've tried switching them and the pc doesn't starts if I place only one stick on the second slot.
Anything I can do? Maybe change some settings on the BIOS?
Thanks

I have the same problem with asus m5a97 LE R2, the bios is recognizing both sticks but only using a single channel its halving the amount of ram installed. I have been messing around for days trying various solutions but nothing. CPU-z says its single channel but detect both dimms.

My motherboard is brand new and I am running out of ideas. There is one work around get a 16gb dual channel dimms just to have 8gb working I guess. Why would Asus make a motherboard that supports dual channel but only really works with a single.

I honestly cant believe this is a problem these days.
