Hello

I recently got a very very hot deal on a GTX 670 for 50€ (35.85£) from a friend, who is pretty rich and has like 3 or 4 Quad SLI Setups, but he recently bought a Quad SLI 980 Setup and he is selling one of his 670s (fully functional btw.)
BUT
the thing is that i don't have a suitable computer atm for the GTX 670, i only got a crap
Pentium Dual Core E5300 (OC'd to 3.2 Ghz)
8gb of 533mhz Corsair Ram
1TB HDD
Be Quiet PurePower L8 630w

and I don't really have the money to upgrade my CPU+Mobo+Ram, but i can get a Core 2 Quad q8300(which i'm going to oc) for like 20£

My question is, how much of an bottleneck will i face with the E5300 and will the Q8300 be a better option in terms of gaming performance?
Will i face worse bottlenecking with the E5300 or with the Q8300 (which i will oc to, i don't know, 3.0 or 3.1 GHz)

Yours sincerely
radekmm

Heck I still have a Q6600 that I use. 2.4 base clock took it to 3.00Ghz on after market air cooling no sweat.

not 20 Euros, 20 Pounds :D
Yeah you're probably right :) i just bought the 670 from the friend of mine today, it works like a charm :D i mean the E5300 @3.4 GHz is bottlenecking the shit out of that card but its still >60fps gaming performance in Battlefield 3 Mulitplayer @1080p @Max settings with 4x MSAA :D
