Recently bought a new ASUS usb 3.1 Z97-A mobo because I failed a BIOS update / flash, now i'm looking at the new PCI SSD'd being released by intel on the 27th and some reviews are saying that I need to do an update for my bios, my mobo is fairly new so will I still have to?. Any advise is great and you can even try and convince me to not buy the ssd cause that shit's expensive yo.

You might need a BIOS update. The good news is ASUS is real good at releasing updates for this series of boards. Hell one was just released yesterday for the Z97-E (what i got) and they updated for the USB 3.1 add-in card that was released recently.

On the other hand you may not need to. I never actually looked into these new SSDs and I would take a 'wait and see' approach before deciding if you want one or not.

Thanks for the reply, yeah these SSD'd are really new and VERY expensive, atleast the larger storage one's are anyway, but thanks, looking around ASUS seem to specialize in safe bios updates USB flashback and stuff. I'm sort of a speed junkie and I get hyped at the thought of more computer speed, I should probably try and be more patient.
