at the f2 setup and f12,boot menu screen my keey board wnt even turn on whn plugged in what might be a problem

when I turn it on the setup and boot menu screen comes up but when I plug in the keyboard it will not come on can do anything what could be my problem

Try all the rear usb ports, usually the one at the top are the ones to use before windows loads.
