So I have recently acquired a third monitor and I want to play some games on my Dell XPS 8700 that I couldn't before. Specs:
Intel core i5 4690k
460w psu
Nvidia Geforce gt 635
1tb hdd
12 gb ddr3 RAM

I have two questions for the forum. One: will
the amd radeon r9 290x XFX graphics card I am planning to install fit in my case, and two, is the photon 750 power supply compatible with it?

thanks.

The problem is that the psu must be pretty small to fit in the case. It currently has a Dell standard 460w PSU and the Photon 750 is the only one that I have found which is the same size.

Are you sure that 620w is enough for the radeon r9 290x? It recommends a minimum of 750w on the Newegg page. I seriously don't want to have to return a psu and get into a hassle with the support staff about why they can't give me my money back.

Ok so I have found a new psu. I know the dimensions but I do not know whether it is L*W*H or W*L*H or whatever else. Please tell me whether this will fit, whether it is compatible with my gpu, and whether it is a reputable supply. Thanks for your help and such - really would be ragequitting by now without you guys.

Alright so I noticed something weird about the card - it has one eight and one six pin power socket. From what I've seen you need to have both plugged in.

I'm such a noob...

So how do I do that? Do I plug the cords that came with the card into the corresponding one from the PSU? Do I plug them into the motherboard? Am I missing something here?
The card came with two cables: one eight pin that fits the card's eight pin socket, and splits into two other cords with female 6 pin connectors, and a six pin that also fits the GPU which spits into two cords as well: Identical wide ones with three large, thick pins and then a space with a hole. I think those plug into cords coming off of the PSU but I'm not sure.

Sorry to be such a bother but I have really no idea about any of this and my computer is out of commission until I figure this out!
