Games get capped at 60fps/get choppy when playing videos on my second monitor

Whenever I play youtube,twitch or just videos files on my second monitor (60hz monitor) games being played on my first monitor (144hz) get choppy like they've been capped at 60fps, even though fps is much higher. Some game being put into windows occasasionally fixes it but this is hardly a reliable fix. Both are plugged into the GPU, (same if one is plugged into my igpu) and set up properly on the nvidia control panel. Any help would be great.

Turn the V-Sync Off in the Nvidia Control Panel.It will help you.

i believe when running multiple monitors your system will default all settings to the lowest refresh rate. you can try removing vsync, but i am not sure this will help. please try it and let us know.

Vsync was off in the global 3d settings if thats what you ment.

your system is likely trying to sync the displays and sees that the 60 Hz display isn't capable of 144 Hz. its a feature not a flaw, really. annoying I'm sure, but it's functioning correctly. you simply can't use both at once.

Try using fraps and see whether the frame is going above 60 or not.See if the app/games does have frame limiter on.
