Hi, I am experiencing an issue where the 'q' character would randomly start repeating as if the key is being held down.

I have been searching all over, including in this forum, but have not found anyone experiencing the same issue.

I have tried the following:

  • - Replaced the keyboard - No effect, it does not seem to be related to the keyboard itself
    - Unplugged the USB keyboard while in Windows, also does not make a difference
    - Removed the keyboard - No effect, it occurs even when I boot with no keyboard present
    - I am dual booting Windows 7 with Linux Mint 17.1, booting in Linux it also happens, so it's not (for once) Windows' fault.
    - My mouse does have some programmable buttons, but there are none programmed with 'q'.

I have an Asus H87M-E motherboard with Intel core i5 CPU, Ideazon Zboard Merc keyboard, and Gigabyte Force M7 Mouse.

I would appreciate it if someone could help with some ideas, because I've just about run out.

Thanks.

you 1st go to "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting"

then look bottom of the window & click on "Fix problem with windows update"

Then your window automatically fix the problem....................

Good luck.............:)
