I was wondering if the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Cooling Fan on a Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P would give enough clearance for the ram. The ram I intend to use is the Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB Kit.Thanks for any reply.
HyperX Fury is pretty low profile, so I'm sure it will work no problem. If there is interference, you can move the fan up a little bit and then it will work fine.

My Hyper 212 fan sits right next to the 4th RAM slot (Gigabyte Z97x-SLI), but just about doesn't cover it, even if it did my RAM would still fit underneath, HyperX Fury RAM would fit under mine.

It dose not make any difference with that cooler if you run the cooling fan on the backside pulling air through the cooling fins, the cooling performance will be the same, there is no law saying it has to be mounted on the front.
If it interferes with the memory slot, the cooling fan can be fudged upward to some extent, or simply moved to the rear of the cooler.
