The Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 980 comes with 2x 8-pin power supply inputs on the card. I am wondering if I should connect 2 separate 8 pin connectors to my power supply or if it is ok to run 1 power line with an 8 pin split to connect to both connectors on the card. I have a corsair rm 850 power supply.

Either way is fine. Using a single cable with two connections or two cables using a single connection on each are both acceptable ways to connect.
