So I've been looking around on here and when I thought I had got the right answer and shot over to eBay to look at cables I was thrown off again with cables that were 4-Pin, 6-Pin, and 7-Pin. I tried looking at the back of my Optical Drive and Hard Drive but even though I know it should've been child's play figuring out which one I needed I couldn't.

My Hard Drive is a Western Digital WD10EZEX 1TB 7200RPM
My Optical Drive is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA6UM2TN6708
My Motherboard is a Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5

Again, I know It's probably child's play figuring this out but this is my first custom computer that I'm making and so I'm a little paranoid that I'm going to buy the wrong cords. Please help.

SATA data cables are just standard, and some should come with your motherboard. Just look for "SATA data cables", they're all practically the same. As for the power cables, they'll come with your power supply.

Edit: Look at page 6 on your motherboard's manual here, it comes with 4 SATA data cables.
