Will the Core I5 4590 3.3GHz work on my Motherboard?

Solution
I need to know which revision your motherboard is... If you have 2.0 you might need to update. You probably have 2.0. Here's a link to the bios http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4074#bios and here is a video on how to install it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oyZDhv94k0 Actually that video might be a little outdated. Try to update using the exe file after you extract the files. If that doesn't work put your bios on a usb stick and go into the bios and look for options to update the bios. Make sure the usb stick is formatted to fat32 file system. And here's a Core i5 3570k for $205 including shipping http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B007SZ0E1K/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used. If that's too much then...

If that's too much then just go with the good ol' Core i5 2500K for about $154 including shipping http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B004EBUXHQ/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used

The 2500K is still a great CPU and you don't have to update your bios to run it.

It says x.x where the motherboard revision number would be. Just look on the motherboard.

It should say right above where the last screw is toward the bottom corner where your pci slots are. I've highlighted it for you in the picture.

I thought that might happen. I looked at your motherboard's manual. You must put your bios update on a usb flash drive before hand and have the USB flash drive plugged into a usb 2.0 port. Then restart your PC. You want to hit the Delete key as soon as your computer starts to enter your bios and to update the bios you need to use Q-flash. Q-flash is up in the right hand corner and it's a blue button.
