I have no idea what to look for or what I can do but I really need a more powerful card.
These are my specs:

Processor: AMD FX(tm)-8300 Eight-Core Processor (8 CPUs), ~3.3GHz
Memory: 12288MB RAM

Card name: AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
Manufacturer: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
Chip type: AMD Radeon Graphics Processor (0x683D)
DAC type: Internal DAC(400MHz)
Device Type: Full Device
Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_683D&SUBSYS_87601043&REV_00
Display Memory: 4843 MB

This is the exact card he has: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125415
That card has one 6-pin power adapter, and we can assume the power supply is around 450w. Even the 960 requires an 8pin power adapter, but only 400w psu.

That said, he could probably get a 960 if he didn't want to upgrade his PSU, and get a 6 pin to 8 pin, which probably comes with a 960.

Update: OP sent me his exact power supply (DELTA GPS-500AB-A) which has 18 amps on the third +12v rail, which is more than enough for a GTX 960.
