Here is a picture of my computer trying to "ping google.com -t": http://prntscr.com/6xlr10
Here is a screenie of what PC Wizard 2013 is showing me: http://prntscr.com/6xlw0e

I've updated to the latest drivers from the this site. I've tried Windows Update but I've already installed everything. My router is only 3 meters away from my desktop. Ethernet cable is out of the question due to certain "rules" with my roommate. Moving my desktop to a certain position works wonders (kind of like when you play around with an old TV antenna to get a signal). Other devices (old laptop/3DS) get a signal from even the outside the apartment. (My desktop is in a room 3 meters away from the router) The Router is new. I also use this mediatek thing (came when I installed the latest driver (but I had the problem before it.)) I can temporarily fix the problem by disabling and re-enabling the wireless on my computer. If nothing works, I'm planning on getting a new WiFi card which could hopefully fix maybe something (I'm thinking that the problem is just that my WiFi card doesn't want to/isn't able to stay connected).

System Specs:
Intel Core i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
16GB DDR3 Generic RAM
ASRock H81M-HDS LGA1150
NVIDIA GeForce GTX770 2048MB
Windows 8.1 64bit

Solution
From the sound of it , looks like the WiFi adapter has gone kaput.
Try these things before you change/buy a new one.

1)Try a different usb port
2)See properties to check power management of this device.(if it has anything set)
3)If possible try the wifi adapter on a different system and see if it reoccurs.
4) Check your Power management options (Advance settings > Wireless adapter)
