I'll start with the basic run down of how I got to this problem.

I custom build this desktop a few months back, had it in a room with no modem so had to buy a wireless adapter and it worked fine. Finally moved it into the room with the modem today that has the modem in it and pulled in an ethernet cable, two lights come on ( yellow and orange I think ) when I plug it in.
So now is where it gets annoying. It doesn't connect to the Internet now at all, even if I try to use the wirelse's adapter.

-Nothing comes up in Network Connections ( tried resetting the binary thing )
-No network adapters I'm Device manager
-Tried alot of "config" and other things in the cmd prompt
-Tried reseting the ipv4 but won't connect
-Wireless adapter has power led on but lnk/act led is off.
-Modem/ wireless works since I'm using it on my phone.

If someone could please help me out that would be great, idk if this is the right forum but I think it is since I'm trying to get an ethernet connection.

Hello,

Neither wired nor wireless are working.....

No adapters wired or wireless in Device Manager....

Since you moved the computer did you check inside the case to make sure that no connectors, cards, etc., came loose? That was my first thought since neither wired or wireless now work.

Just for the record what modem and router are you using?

Anyway if nothing is loose then my suggestion is to uninstall and reinstall the network adapters and their respective drivers. Try wired first to keep things simpler and stay with the desired connectivity. And also use a known working ethernet cable.

Update your posting if the problem is not resolved.
